What to Expect

The Sunday Gathering

For the most part, you can expect the following things:

  • Our service typically starts at 10am and ends between 11:10am - 11:20am
  • We will sing songs together, listen to an Elder preach from God’s Word, and pray together
  • The Renewal band will play five songs (three before the sermon, and two after)
  • The sermon will last between 35-45 minutes
  • The kids will be released into the care of our Renewal Kids team at the beginning of the sermon

Monthly Structure

On the 3rd Sunday of every month, we participate in the Lord’s Supper together. All who have have confessed Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior are welcome to participate. There will be two tables at the front of each aisle. After an Elder teaches about the Lord’s Supper from the stage, the band and tech team will be served first. After they have been served, you can join everyone else to receive communion (just follow the crowd). When you arrive at the table, hold your hands out, palms facing up, and an Elder will serve you.

If there is a 5th Sunday in a month, Renewal Kids will not meet that day. Instead, we welcome the children to join us in the worship service.

What do I do with my kids?

We have two classes for Renewal Kids. The “Littles” (age 4 and below), and the “Bigs” (PreK through 5th grade). Both classes meet upstairs in the CAC.

  • If you have a “Little,” someone from the hospitality team will escort you and your child to our enthusiastic and trustworthy kids team.
  • If you have a “Big,” they will be released at the beginning of the sermon K-2 & 3-4.

Every volunteer that serves in Renewal Kids has gone through a background check, is a member of Renewal Church, is active in a Home Group, and has been interviewed by an Elder. We know that your children are precious, so we want to assure you that your child’s protection and care is our priority.

After the service, please head upstairs to pick up your child from a Renewal volunteer.
