RENEWED FOR MISSION

From Genesis to Revelation there is a thread. A thread that connects every story, character and plot line into one grand story.

It is the story of God’s glory among the nations. At the end of all things, God will be glorified in every people and tongue in the world, but the end of all things is not here yet. The task that God has given us has not been completed. God has ordained that in His unfolding plan of redemption the church would go forth to make disciples of all nations. He not only saves us from our sin, but sends us forth in His mission. The things we cared about, pursued and loved before we knew Christ are forever changed for the purposes of Christ.

Renewal supports missionaries around the globe. See below for details of our current missionaries so you can be praying for them.

Julia Anderson (YWAM Flotilla)

YWAM Flotilla uses small sail boats to reach the most isolated islands in the Pacific. As most of these smaller isolated islands do not have access to airports or a regular ferry, the sail boats act as our means of connection to these isolated islands. The idea being that we will help provide the people living on these islands with tangible needs such as healthcare, education, clean water and ultimately the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Lauren Graham (World Venture)

Since early childhood, Lauren has had many seeds planted and watered, like learning Japanese in middle school, studying world history through the eyes of missionaries in high school, and experiencing mental health struggles, which have guided her to the calling of full-time ministry in Japan. In 2022, she went on a summer internship to Tokyo which gave her clarity and affirmation of this calling. She assisted existing ministries through administrative work, discipleship conversations, and teaching English.

The Japanese are the 2nd largest unreached people group. Even though Buddhism and Shintoism are the primary religions of the country, most people are skeptical of religion with most Japanese now identifying as Atheist or non-religious. Japan is also ranked in terms of having the most mental health-related issues in the population, including high rates of suicide.

With her own experience in spiritual darkness and mental health struggles, Lauren desires to see the joy of the Lord brought to the Japanese. She is passionate about discipling and bringing up the next generation of Christians and seeing the church grow across the country. She plans to assist the existing church with outreach and discipleship through her skills in hospitality and holistic growth.

Lauren would greatly appreciate your prayer and support in partnering with this ministry to the ripe but somewhat dark field of Japan, where an epidemic of loneliness and depression can only be healed through the life-giving water of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Emma Spradley (CRU)

We have a huge heart for sharing the gospel with college students, and raising them up in their faith. We believe that being a part of the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20 has many different roles, but the same focus: reaching lost and hurting people. Praying for big things this year in San Antonio. Thank you again! We are so honored to get to partner with you!

GoCorps Website

Katy White (GoCorps)

GoCorps is a mobilization and placement agency centered around the Tithe Your Career concept. We help Christian young adults tithe their time and talents by using their degree in two-year global placements serving with long-term missions teams and projects.

Those that tithe their career, we call them Goers, serve in places with limited gospel witness and follow Christ’s example of living incarnationally, ministering as a learner, servant, friend, story-teller and worshiper.

GoCorps serves as the connector, coach and catalyst in the process. As a  partnership of 16 missions organizations, GoCorps handpicks the best teams that are a fit for mentoring recent grads of all backgrounds. We streamline the whole process by creating a universal application and removing common barriers for young adults.

To recruit Goers, we partner with colleges, churches and collegiate ministers to create a culture where the idea of tithing your career is encouraged. Then, we coach students through the exploration, application and sending process.

Since 2009, we’ve placed hundreds of recent grads in over forty countries. These Goers have shared the gospel through thousands of spiritual conversations, and daily help advance dozens of long-term projects. Besides making a difference in their local communities, Goers get an opportunity to grow by humbling themselves in a new culture and gain work experience that sets them apart in the global marketplace.

Together, we’re building a movement where Christians of all backgrounds see global service and mission as an accessible and attractive first step after graduation.
