Equipment Theft
This past Sunday morning (October 6, 2025) our trailer team went to pick up our trailer as they do every week, our trailer which contains all of the things we use on Sunday morning - everything from our entire sound system, projection system, drums, all of children’s ministries’ supplies, even our coffee station and communion supplies - but our trailer was gone, stolen with all of its contents, and our other trailer that housed our chairs was broken into.
This was a shock to us but not to our good and sovereign God, and God’s will for His people to gather together and worship Him and preach the Gospel could not be thwarted. We still gathered together for what became one of the most beautiful worship services in Renewal’s time so far. We sang from the piano with voices filling the room, we prayed, we heard from God’s Word, and preached the Gospel.
We will continue to do so with the same joy we held this past Sunday as we move forward. We will make adjustments as needed, work with our insurance, and work with the authorities in their open investigation. In time “stuff” will be replaced but we are excited to see how God grows us in the meantime with the opportunity to refocus on Him with having been stripped down to the bare bones.
The church is not a building, nor is it our equipment, but it is the people God has called to Himself to glorify Him and share the Gospel with others.
I am reminded of Matthew 6:19-21:
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
We have been given a unique opportunity to focus on Jesus Christ as our sole treasure and we are eager to take it, and we invite you to join us in this opportunity if you are in need of a church home. So come and worship our amazing God with us and let’s see together what incredible things God has in store for us. We meet every Sunday at 10am at the Cultural Activities Center in Temple.
And of course, if you do happen to see a Renewal Church trailer or any of our equipment up for sale please let us know or the Temple police. We are committed to pray for those who committed this crime and pray they come to know the joy of salvation with Jesus.
To God be the glory, great things He has done - and will continue to do.
Join us for worship each Sunday morning at 10am at Temple CAC, 3011 N 3rd St.,
Temple, TX
